Fly to Khong Island in the morning.
Upon arrival, greet at the airport and take boat ride down the Mekong river to Champassak on a slow motorized sampan. Visit the small town and the pre-angkorian site of Wat Phu a pre-angkorian Khmer temple and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Return to Champasak for lunch, and see former royal mansions and samples of French colonial architecture.
Continue by road to Khong Island, the biggest island in south Laos.
On arrival, check in at hotel ( 3 stars ) and overnight.
