Afternon have a visit in this ancient town, former Royal Palace, now became as National Museum, followed by nearby Wat Mai and its famous bas-reliefs. Continue on foot to stroll through old street to visit the Wat Xieng Muan then head to the magnificent Wat Xiengthong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represents classical Laotian architecture. before returning back to hotel. Free and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed driving to Khuang Si Waterfalls where you can cool off which is the biggest in falls in the area with 3 tiers leading to 40meters drop in the the pools. Have a walk through the trails to explore its natural beauty and visit eturn to Luang Prabang, afternoon free to stroll around the town and overnight.
After breakfast at hotel, embark on a cruise upstream on the Mekong River, which also gives a breathtaking view of the tranquil countryside, before reaching the mysterious Pak Ou Caves, two linked caves crammed with thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues of various shapes and sizes left by pilgrims. Along the way, will stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they make the local rice wine. On return, disembark the boat to visit traditional villages and continue taking a short drive to Ban Phanom, a village famous for its hand weaving. Return to Luang Prabang, continue to Ban Xangkhong, a village well known for its silk weavings and for its Saa (jute) Papermaking. Then back to hotel, free and overnight.

Fly to Khong Island in the morning.
Upon arrival, greet at the airport and take boat ride down the Mekong river to Champassak on a slow motorized sampan. Visit the small town and the pre-angkorian site of Wat Phu a pre-angkorian Khmer temple and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Return to Champasak for lunch, and see former royal mansions and samples of French colonial architecture.
Continue by road to Khong Island, the biggest island in south Laos.
On arrival, check in at hotel ( 3 stars ) and overnight.
After breakfast, Full day excursion to the 4 000 islands area near to the Mekong Falls and to the charming tiny island Khong. Take a local boat to the peaceful islands of Done Det and Done Khone, sites of the only railway ever built in Laos at the end of the 19th century.
After a stroll through the palm-fringed villages and lunch continue to the southernmost part of Laos and the imposing Khone Papheng waterfalls, near the Cambodian border.
In the afternoon transfer to Pakse and overnight at Hotel ( 3 stars )
