The local Malay culture in Langkawi can clearly be seen in the local cuisines & customs, and with some slight cross cultural influences from the neighbouring country, Thailand. Drinks are usually sweet to the palate, pastries are appetizers and the local dishes are full of flavours with local herbs and spices. Langkawi is also gifted with an abundance of tropical fruits such as; mangoes, bananas, papaya, rambutan, mangosteen, durian, coconuts, and many more.
Seven Wells Waterfalls aka 'Air Terjun Telaga Tujuh', is the no.1 waterfall attraction in Langkawi. According to the local Langkawians, Telaga Tujuh is home to the fairies; the fairies come out at night to bath in the seven pools here.
