Dali was the capital of Nanzhao and Dali Kingdom as early as 1,300 years ago – home of Bai minority. Drive to the shore of the Erhai Lake, the village of Caicun and have a cruise on the lake to the opposite shore  (about 2 hrs) to Jin Suo Isle. Visit the Bai minority fishing village on the Isle with its colorful market.  On the way back to Dali stop and visit the Three Pagodas. The rest of day visit the old town of weathered gray granite stands at 2,100 meters on a long, narrow rice plain between the Cangshan Mountains and the Erhai Lake.
