Upon arrival at Hobart Airport, approach to car rental counter to pick up your car.
Self-drive to check in the hotel in Hobart. Free to stroll around in the city. Visit to Mona Museum if time permitted.
Note: If you arrive on Saturday morning, you must not miss the chance visit to Salamanca Market. Every Saturday (except Christmas Day or Anzac Day) from about 8am until 3pm, Salamanca Place comes alive with the famous Salamanca Market. Salamanca Market is operated by Hobart City Council. Over 300 stallholders sell fresh and gourmet produce, arts, crafts and handiwork from all over Tasmania, interstate and overseas. Ranging as one of the top attractions in Tasmania. Overnight at hotel.
Breakfast at hotel. Self-drive visit to Richmond (30mins.). It’s a beautiful historic village, boasting fine colonial buildings and the oldest bridge in Australia. Then drive to Doo town (1hr). Doo Town is a quaint seaside village famous for its quirky house names. Nearby are the incredible natural rock formations of the Tasman Peninsula including the Devils Kitchen, Tasman Arch and the Blowhole. And walking on to Waterfall Bay, enjoy spectacular views from the clifftops.Continue drive to The Port Arthur Historic Site, it is one of Australia’s most important heritage sites and tourist destinations. Join guided walks of Port Arthur and the Isle of the Dead to understand the convict history of the site over 200 years ago. Spend time exploring the multitude of restored and ruined buildings and learn of the site's dramatic history. Take a cruise on Carnarvon Bay around the "Isle of the Dead".
After sightseeing, drive one hour back to hotel, free and overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Self-drive from Hobart to Kunanyi/Mt Wellington (20mins). The 21-km drive to the summit passes through temperate rainforest to sub-alpine flora and glacial rock formations, ending in panoramic views of Hobart, Bruny Island, South Arm and the Tasman Peninsula. The interpretation centre at the top protects you from the blustering winds while an open viewing platform on the western side of the car park looks out to the World Heritage Wilderness Area beyond. There are barbecues, picnic facilities and bushwalking trails for all fitness levels.
Drive around for visit to “The Springs”; then the vertical rock formation known as the “Organ Pipes” . Continue drive on up the pinnacle road. About 3 Kilometres (2 Miles) past “The Springs” to the hut called “The Chalet” up on the road. Park in the area off the road and walk up the track that goes around the back of “The Chalet” and climbs about 50 meters uphill running along the contour of the mountain. You can spent a whole day in this beautiful nature environment. Late afternoon, drive back to hotel in Hobart, free & overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Self-drive drive through the Derwent Valley – traveling east to west across the island. to Mt. Field National Park. You’ll see the beautiful Russell Falls. Walk among the Mt Field National Park Tall Trees. The park has a wide variety of scenic features and wildlife and offers a great range of facilities for day visitors.
Onward drive 2hours visit to Australia’s deepest freshwater lake-Lake St Clair.
Then continue drive 10mins. to explore the pristine Franklin-Gordon Wild River National Park.
After sightseeing, drive one hour to overnight in the Strahan. Check in the hotel, free & overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Self-drive to Cradle Mountain. Cradle Mountain is around 950-meters above sea level is the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Claire National Park. where you choose a walk to suit you. With an extensive range of tracks, stroll around Dove Lake or challenge yourself with a hike to Marion’s Lookout.
A short drive takes you through Sheffield, the ‘town of murals’, to Launceston. Check in the hotel. Free & overnight.
Breakfast at hotel. Self-drive from Launceston, make your way to the East Coast and the beautiful Bay of Fires (2hrs40mins). It is one of Tasmania's most popular conservation reserves. Famous for its crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches and orange lichen-covered granite boulders. If the conditions are right, this is the perfect place for a swim. You can explore the Bay of Fires base from St Helens or Binalong Bay, Tasmania’s most scenic coastal.
You can drive through St Helens by one hour ride to overnight in Bicheno, where you may want to join an evening viewing of the Little Penguins. And visit to famous Bicheno Blowhole.

Breakfast at hotel. An early start drive from Bicheno to the Wineglass Bay lookout, beating the crowds and the heat for that postcard photo. This flawless crescent of dazzling white sand and sapphire-coloured sea set against pink and grey granite peaks is one of Australia's most beautiful natural environments. Relax on the secluded beach or choose the more challenging Mt Amos or Hazards Beach walk.
Then drive to meet the iconic Tasmanian devil as you stop at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (2hours40mins).
