After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the three sites that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List:
You start the day with a visit to the Swayambunath temple. Perched on a hill overlooking the capital, it is a mythical site in Nepalese culture, built on the very spot where Manjushri is said to have split the hills to open the Kathmandu valley. Watch out for monkey thieves!
Pashupatinath, one of the sacred temples of South Asia, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. It is the highest place of worship for Hindus. It has a very special atmosphere, with cremations taking place along the river, sadhus and small monkeys.
The great stupa of Bodhanath, a marvellous Buddhist site organised around an enormous stupa with "all-seeing eyes". To soak up the atmosphere of devotion, we'll come here, if possible, in the early evening, when hundreds of Tibetans come to pray to Kora.
Overnight stay is at a hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast provided
