Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is a short but a very rewarding trek that involves just 5 days of walk yet brings you close to the majestic Himalayan range in the Annapurna region. The landscape that constantly renews because of the rich diversity and variety of landscapes coupled with the diverse ethnicity, culture and religion that changes from as you continue and complete this wonderful and a classic trip to Ghorepani

Day 1
Kathmandu – Arrival

Depending on your arrival time, our representative will be at the airport to receive you and transfer you to hotel.

Overnight stay is at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2
Kathmandu: Sightseeing

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the three sites that are on the UNESCO World Heritage List:

You start the day with a visit to the Swayambunath temple. Perched on a hill overlooking the capital, it is a mythical site in Nepalese culture, built on the very spot where Manjushri is said to have split the hills to open the Kathmandu valley. Watch out for monkey thieves!

Pashupatinath, one of the sacred temples of South Asia, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. It is the highest place of worship for Hindus. It has a very special atmosphere, with cremations taking place along the river, sadhus and small monkeys.

The great stupa of Bodhanath, a marvellous Buddhist site organised around an enormous stupa with "all-seeing eyes". To soak up the atmosphere of devotion, we'll come here, if possible, in the early evening, when hundreds of Tibetans come to pray to Kora.

Day 3
Kathmandu / Pokhara (850m) – Nayapul – trek to Ulleri (2155m)

Transfer to Airport and fly to Pokhara. Pokhara is an enchanting Himalayan Valley of remarkable beauty.

This short flight promises spectacular views of mountain vistas and the serene landscape below.

Upon landing in Pokhara, you will continue your journey by driving to Nayapul. From there, you'll begin your trek to Ulleri, a trek that typically takes 5-6 hours to complete.

Overnight stay is in the lodge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is provided.

Day 4
Trek to Ghorepani (2845m)

As you continue your trek, it's important to stay on the inside of the path to allow room for the passage of donkeys. Occasional glimpses of the peaks along the way gradually lead you into a narrower valley. Your path winds through a lush rhododendron forest, ultimately bringing you to Ghorepani. This is a splendid location to relish some of the most breathtaking views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna mountain ranges.

Overnight stay is in the lodge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is provided.

Day 5
Sunrise at Poon Hill – Trek to Tadapani (2655m)

In the early hours of the morning, you'll embark on a climb to Poon Hill. This ascent takes approximately an hour and rewards you with a majestic sunrise view. Poon Hill is situated at an altitude of 3,210 meters and offers breathtaking panoramas of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Mountain Ranges. After taking in the breathtaking vistas and enjoying a well-deserved break, you'll descend to the village of Ghorepani. There, you'll savor a hearty breakfast before continuing your journey to Tadapani

Day 6
Trek to Ghandruk (1940m)

The path from Tadapani takes you on a picturesque descent through lush forests, leading to Ghandruk, a charming village inhabited by the Gurung people. The Gurung community is one of Nepal's most renowned ethnic groups, celebrated for their unique language, rich culture, customs, and way of life. Ghandruk is also a significant home to soldiers hailing from the famous Gurkha regiments. This village provides breathtaking vistas of Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, and the iconic Fishtail Mountain.

Overnight stay is in the lodge. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is provided.

Day 7
Trek to Birenthanti – Drive to Pokhara (850m)

Following breakfast, our day will commence with a descent to Kimche and continue to Birethanti, which marks the conclusion of our trek.

We'll then board our jeep and drive back to Pokhara.

Overnight stay is at a hotel in Pokhara. Breakfast provided.

Day 8
Pokhara / Kathmandu

Today, we will say our farewell to Pokhara and board a flight back to Kathmandu. This short flight treats you to picturesque views of the mountains and the landscape. Upon arriving at the domestic airport in Kathmandu, our representative will be on hand to escort you back to your hotel.

Overnight stay is at a hotel in Kathmandu. Breakfast provided.

Day 9
Kathmandu – Departure

Depending on your flight time, our airport check in is 3 hours prior to the departure time and the hotel checkout time is 12 PM.

Our representative will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the airport.
