Yellowknife is the best place in the world to view the aurora borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. With long and clear winter nights, mid-November to the beginning of April tend to be the best times of the year to visit for a good viewing. Late summer to early autumn often also offers a good chance of seeing the lights. Now it named as “Aurora Capital of the World”. A maximum record is 250days in the year to meet with Aurora in the area.

Take the flights via Vancouver and Calgary to Yellow Knife.
Upon arrive, transfer to check in Hotel- Chateau Nova or similar. Free and overnight.

In the morning join the city tour to learn about the history of Yellowknife from its beginnings of “streets paved with gold” to its deeply rooted Aboriginal culture. Explore the beautiful city of Yellowknife: Legislative Assembly, Northern Heritage Prince of Wales Museum, Frontier Visitor Centre. A scenic drive through downtown and iconic Old Town to the Pilot's Monument where you can overlook the view of Yellowknife City.
Enjoy Aurora Borealis in a comfort, cozy Aurora Station with 360 degrees sky-deck observatory in the Arctic. Hot beverages and snacks are served. Clean and tidy flushing toilets in the log cabin with Aboriginal tipis for photography. Our tour guides will provide photography service.
Then back to hotel, free and overnight.

AUTUMN: Morning take a pretty little hike through the Cameron Falls Trail east of Yellowknife. The path twists through evergreen forests, across boardwalks. Take photos of the breathtaking autumn scenery and let the nature clean your ind and relax your body.
WINTER: Morning enjoy a 4-hour ice fishing experience on Great Slave Lake. Travel half an hour by the heated, snow-tracked vehicle to your comfortable fishing hut, then drop a line through several feet of ice, to see if you can pull in a big one. Enjoy a light fish feast in the cabin on the island.
Evening drive Yellowknife City to Dettah (Dene Community) on the ice road, spend 4 hours on the shore line of Great Slave lake with wood stove cabin to view the spectacular Northern Lights. Authentic northern snacks and hot beverages will be served. Sharing Dene way with the traditional drumming performance. Complimentary hot drinks and late-night snack will help making your experience magical.

AUTUMN: In the morning, enjoy a boat trip and fishing on the Great Slave Lake, the second biggest lake in Canada after the Great Bear Lake and the fifth in North America. It is the beginning of the longest river in Canada – the Mackenzie River and a world-renowned fishing ground. Enjoy traditional fish fry meal on the island.
WINTER: Daytime to feel the thrill of freedom, glide over a frozen lake and through forested trails. Basic safety and operating instructions will be provided. Tour will be fully guided for your comfort and safety. Helmets are provided, and winter clothing can be rented for the tours.
In the evening, drive to different lakes to hunt for a good spot for aurora viewing and relax yourself in the luxurious bus. You will enjoy Aurora Borealis around the lakes, seeing the reflection on the lakes while aurora appears.
Then back to hotel, free and overnight.
