Railway – Indian Pacific, the main trans-continental service, operates between Sydney and Perth. 

 

COMMUNICATIONS:

Local calls from public pay phones cost 30 cents. Most public phones have direct long distance & overseas dialing. Telefax, fax & other services are available at post offices. They are open from 9am to 5pm (Mon-Fri).
